JAMES’ BLOG

Oh, when will I be regular?

In posting my blog, that is.  (What were you thinking?)  Well, it would probably help if I could settle on where I host my blog at, for starters.  If you happened to stumble on my site sometime within the past year, it was hosted by Google’s blogger with a blogspot address.  Unfortunately, it lacked a few features I was looking for and I couldn’t find any plug-ins to add them.  I also tried adding blog features to my own website, which never seemed to work like it was supposed to.  So, as I searched through Google for solutions, I found that a lot of what I wanted could be found by using WordPress.  I am currently posting this entry to their free service, which isn’t fully customizable, but has the features I want (minus one, but I’m working around that for now).  The good news is they have a version that I can host on my own site, and they’ll even install it for free.  If it works, I can add any plug-in I want.  Huzzah!  I’m pretty pleased with the way this looks right now, though, so I may just stick with it.

Oh, and the picture above is my new profile picture which I am now using everywhere that I am publicly accessible.  The previous picture I’ve been using was seven years old, so it was time for a change.

There is more happening now.  I am searching for a new job in anticipation of a buyout that I’ve accepted from Comair.  I’m also getting ready to kick the writing back into high gear.  I’ve already begun Knights of the Blood.  Of course, this will necessitate another site redesign.  So much to do, so little time.  If you don’t see another post for awhile, this will be why.

Feedback Wanted

The Guest Book is finally up, after a lot of trial and error. Please check it out and leave a message. Feedback forums are now online, as well. Also, the text was enlarged for easier reading.

Edit: There were links here, but as newer posts attest, these features were removed. The only people that used them were spammers and hackers.
