JAMES’ BLOG

Site Redesign

Well, here it is! This is actually my second attempt at designing a website, though this time around the purpose of the site is to promote my novel, To Every Thing a Purpose, and my efforts to publish it.

The Synopsis page will be a summarized version of the novel aimed at giving interested editors and agents a birds-eye view of the plot and events of the novel. As such, anyone wanting to be surprised by the various plots twists should avoid it.

The Status page will probably be the most accessed by anyone interested in following my endeavors. Publishers that I have submitted manuscripts and queries to will be listed here, as well as any responses I receive from them (including rejection letters). I will also mention any conferences I attend and my experiences at them. Of course, the status of any publishing contracts will here, too, though I’m sure I won’t be able to resist advertising that on the front page.

Until the book is review about actual reviewers, the Reviews page will contain snippets of e-mails and comments I have received on the novel. I will also be logging any salvations and life decisions that have been made as a result of reading this novel. (Praise God, there have been 2 already!) If this section gets long enough, it will warrant its own separate page.

The Downloads will be where select site visitors can download portions of the novel or even the entire work. To help minimize the risk of someone plagiarizing all my hard work, most of these files will be password protected. The Poetry section will contain selected poems I have written in past years. Many people have enjoyed them, so it’s only fitting to continue sharing them with anyone who is interested.

The Guest Book will be for visitors to sign in, say hi, and offer general comments on the site and its contents.

The Feedback page will be just that, a place for feedback on the novel itself. That’s it for now. Please stop back later as more stuff gets added.
